The Friday Morning Programme is hosted by Age Concern on Fridays 9:30am - 11:30am at the Celebrating Age Centre in 30 Victoria Street, Hamilton unless otherwise stated.

 Raglan Symposium

Age Concern Hamilton and Population Health/Waikato District Health Board are hosting an Older Persons Symposium in Raglan on Thursday 24 June 2010.  They have identified several service areas of commonality and have united to undertake a joint older persons project within the Raglan community.  Any older persons group or provider is invited to attend this event.

Heath Education Training Calendar

These workshops are aimed at Rest Home staff, Support Groups, Carers looking after family members and Health Professionals.

Workshops for 2010:

  • Challenging Behaviour of Older People
  • Communicating with Older People
  • Elder Abuse and Neglect Prevention
  • Sexuality in Older People
  • Stress and Fatigue in Older People

All courses are three hours and cost $25.00 per person per session. (Family carers who are Age Concern Hamilton members can attend at no cost).

Active Age on Air

Age Concern Hamilton's radio show on Community Radio Hamilton
The show is a combination of great music, interesting guests and topics of interest to a mature audience.

Broadcast every Monday morning from 11.00am - 12noon on 1206 AM across the Waikato and 106.7 FM in Hamilton.  Sponsored by Panacea Health Care.
