A pedometer
is
the
motivational
key
to
the
success
of
this
programme.
It
counts
the
number
of
steps
you
take
each
day
so
you
can
set
daily
activity
goals
and
increase
them
over
time.
10,000
steps
is
just
a
figure
to
get
us
thinking
about
our
levels
of
energy.
Some take
longer
strides
than
others
so
be
realistic
with
your
pedometer.
Age
Concern
Whangarei
now
has
a
supply
of
pedometers
in
the
library
for
loan.
We
ask
a
$20
refundable
deposit
on
return
of
the
pedometer
and
its
attached
strap
after
a
one
week
period.
